the rest of the message is 'Automation error The specified procedure could not be found'. Not a very useful statement!

This happens when I try to log in. Does anyone have any idea how to fix it? I've searched here and not uncovered anything.

Thanks.

Chris.

Most errors of this type are down to misconfigured firewall settings.

Thanks. I tried with no firewall and still got the same message. Think it might be something wrong with my system because it works fine on my other pc just not the one I'm using. I've tried reinstalling MDAC and GS but the problem is still there. I'll keep trying - have you any other tips?

Try installing scripting runtime 5.6 from Microsoft....you can grab it from their website...

Lets us know if that fixes it.

Been busy hence the delay in replying. Got it working but only by re-installing Windows. Tried re-installing the scripting runtime and MDAC but that didn't work. Thanks for the tips anyway.

Chris.
