I've appled it and all but from time to time I get thrown out of the game due to an error in C++ library, which can be pretty annoying especially if you're in cooldown after escaping Level 5 Heat chase for 30 minutes. On the other hand, it possibly that something else is causing the problem, who knows.

Ivan, two things:

Firstly, please try and put more information in the thread name. For those people who visit the forum via an email notification it is hard to understand what it is you're saying with having to come out of the thread and back into it via the forum interface. The decription field is just that. e.g.

Topic: NFS:Most Wanted 1.3 patch

Description: problems with patch

Body: I have a problem...

Even if you don't read the description, the topic and body give you everything you need.

Right, on to your query.

If you have applied a patch and you are having problems you should make a note of what they are and steps taken to recreate the problem.

Then, reapply the patch with no anti-virus running and test again (sometime AVs can corrupt software during the install).

If having tried these steps you are still having problems you have two choices:

Uninstall the game. Reboot. Re-install. Reboot. Patch. Test or

Contact EA (or both)

GameShadow only provides you with a means to easily identify and download the patches. The patches themselves are released by EA et al.

P.S. check your drivers and the patch FAQ. It may be a known issue..

There is a chance that it is a problem with the game. I had it before the patch came out so I was kinda hoping it would solve it but to no avail. I wasn't implying that GS supplies faulty patches, since I did get this one elsewhere. If the problem's occurence will increase its' frequncy i'll probably contact the EA to sort out. Cheers anyway

As soon as you see C++ /runtime errors the chances are you have a broken install or a driver problem.

My advice would be to uninstall the game, re-install direct x and your graphics and sound drivers and then reinstall. If you're still having problems contact EA. I know that I had a problem with the demo after installing newer graphics drivers and a re-install solved the problem.

Regards

Cheers, I will have a go @ that @ some point. Thankfully it's easy to copy your profile and then paste it back, unlike in Doom III.
