I am loving the beta version of Google Toolbar - I have always found it handy for searching without going to the google site and the popup blocker - I occasionally use the autofill feature too.

Those of you who have an account with Google will find it useful as you can add buttons that check your gmail and maintain your bookmarks - now I can centralise my bookmarks with Google and view them at home and work.  Therefore when I find a site of interest I can bookmark and then view it on another machine.

The addition of extra buttons is a great idea which will carry on growing as people code more buttons.  E.g. I can now see when new articles are added to www.winsupersite.com without even going to the page

If you dont have a google profile and would like an account drop me a PM

And the M$ version is called Live Beta Toolbar. Or more commonly known as cH3Ap r1p 0fF & v. 8u99y

I use it extensively, the latest version for Firefox also has a RSS feedreader, which is great, but it adds the live bookmark into your Google page (like I have that one), intead of your bookmarks.

A nice addition none the less.

I'm tempted to install Google Desktop since, apparently, it supposed to be the next best thing since sliced bread.

Anyone uses/used it? What impressions you've got?

Cheers
