Posted 25th November 2005 03:04 | | | | Hi I hope someone can help. I have just had to upgrade GameShadow to Ver 2.0 and since them I am unable to scan my system without getting the Error 440 then an automation error and then some prg / script. I have upgraded to MS Scripts as per another post but still get the problem, I have 3 largish drives and have tried to scan 1 which seems ok but when I try all 3 I get the errors. I have games scattered across all the drives so really need to get this sorted. It was ok under the previous version but since the upgrade GS has lost all the Games it had found Cheers The Godson |
| Posted 25th November 2005 13:01 | | | | Hi, We're looking into this problem right now. If you don't mind I will probably contact you by email later today with a test file for you to try. Hopefully we'll get to the bottom of this fairly quickly... Mark |

| Posted 3rd December 2006 22:22 | | | | I'm having the exact same error. I can scan certain folders, and the games load in fine. However, when I scan my Microsoft Games folder, I get this error every time it gets to the compare step and is comparing Age of Mythology. Could it be getting some sort of unexpected file read error on the game files when trying to locate the game file version? While it's possible to get around this error with trial and error, it's not very convenient. Hope you guys figure out what's up and patch this.
