When I try to load GameShadow I get a message saying :

" Error -2147417848 Occured
Automation Error
The object invoked has disconnected from it's clients."

If I press retry or abort I get to the main GameShaodw screen but everything is blank and white. And it seems like it cannot connect online.

I have tried reinstalling several times and nothing has changed.

Any help would be great.

Check that your firewall allows gameshadow.exe

This is the most likely cause

My Windows Firewall is turned off and I am connected through a campus network and I cannot check if their firewalls block it. But I do know that they block all ports, atleast all I have tried.

The thing is that Game Shadow used to work just fine on the same network. I think it was after an update that the problem stared happening, but I am unsure because it has been a while.

Hi there, some firewalls keep settings even though they are turned off. Which firewall are you using? Make sure that any entries for the gameshadow.exe file are deleted and try again then when it prompts you allow it through again. Some firewalls do daft things if a file changes its signature.

Also try a fresh install with the download from the website.

Cheers

Sorry about not replying for a long while.

I have reinstalling several times. What I do is I uninstall the program, then I erase the folder. I then erase any registry values associated with the program and then I re-download the file.

I still get the same thing. I am currently connected to the same connection where GS used to work and I get the same error.

I managed to get past the problem I first had. The problem was a faulty IE7 installation. I was trying to update Windows and since you have to use IE to do it I was trying it but it was not working. I then figured that GS was IE based so I just reinstalled IE7 and got passed that error.

But now I have a new error. I cannot login into my account. It says that my account does not exist. I double checked everything. When I try to make a new account I get a 404 error. I disabled my firewalls and it still does not work. I sometimes also get Error 20311 and an Error 91 when I try to quit.
