Imperial Glory does run, but it crashes after playing for about 60 to 90 minutes, at least in my case. I contacted Eidos several times about this, when they finally replied they told me that the only thing on my current system that could be causing was Vista (big surprise), and that there were no plans to release anything to fix the problem. So, basically they told me, too bad, bugger off. So, if anyone has had this problem or knows of a solution, I'd be grateful for your help.

Installed Vista x64 SP1 yesterday, first of all not one of the fastest updates I have ever done, a clean install would have been faster .

Before the SP1 update, DS (Dungeon Siege and Dungeon Siege: Legends of Aranna) worked, screen flickered, that was still ok.  I was quite surprised

But guess what, Microsoft has done it again, it is not working anymore.  I have tried to re-install DS as well as changing the compatibility mode to XP or 2000, and still no luck.  Thought about running XP on VPC 2007 with DS, problem that the screen driver in VPC only allows 16MB display for DirectX, so yet again no luck.

So if anyone got it fixed, please let us know.

MEDIEVAL LORDS FOR VISTA... (with thanks to my boyfriend's perseverance)

Update your graphics card drivers

then go to the GSP / Avantsoft website and look up the game in their FAQs

There is file to download www.gspsupport.co.uk/media/patches/Medieval_Lords.exe

1. Save the file Medieval_Lords.exe to your desktop
2. Right click on the Medieval_Lords.exe on your desktop and left click 'Cut'
3. Go to Start | Run, type in or Browse to C:\Program Files\Monte Cristo\Medieval Lords and click on OK
4. Please right click in this folder and left click 'Paste', this will ask you to replace the Medieval_Lords.exe , click 'Yes' .

NB If it doesn't ask you to replace it (i.e. the origional wasn't there, then look in one of the subfolders - Mine was in /Bin. Replace that and run it from there.

You may need to alter your screen resolutions to get best quality out but thats how to get it working

thanks to my boyfriend's perseverance

Well thanks to you for posting, and obviously thanks to your b/f for finding the fix. I'll try this at some point. Currently my ML disks in storage until redecoration finished at home.

Sorry I didn't reply to you PM, mzyxslj, but there is a weird bug preventing me from doing so.
