I seem to br having a problem getting GameShadow registering what version of the game I have. I don't know if it is because I have he expansion pack but I have downloaded the patch of your server thinking it would correct the problem. When I went to the version management console it is still listed as an unknown version. Thinking it may be the patch that what was faulty I logged onto battlenet to update the game but didn't need to do anything as my game was already upto date. Any reason for this?[?]

Batman,

I am also running The Frozen Throne, and I am having no problem with it. Maybe you just need to search for patches/refresh games? Mine wasn't working at first, but it was fixed when I updated. Also, are you sure you have v 1.12? This is the latest. Thanks!

Hi Batman,

We haven't seen this problem here. So what is the status of your version now? Is it on 1.12? Make sure you do a refresh as Maikadal suggests.

Still no joy guys. I have refreshed the games list and it still says unknown version even though it is 1.12. I don't know if you have this problem but when ever I install the patch it instantly asks for the original game disk. Maybe it is this that is different. I have re-installed the patch again from here and still the same even though going through Battlenet it says that my game is upto date. I think I may uninstall and reinstall and see if that works.

Uninstalling and reinstalling the patch I had downloaded earlier seems to have fixed it.

Thanks Tony but what I meant to type was uninstalling the game(s) fixed the problem not uninstalling the patch incase anyone else trys it.

Ugh.....

Reinstalling the game would fix any corrupt files - maybe something accidentally went wrong with the system. Did you copy any required files to install the game, or install saved games or some part of it from a remote file or disk? I don't know if this would influence anything, but its my best guess. Possibly there was some kind of bug in GameShadow that is now fixed - but my version of WC3 has showed up fine. Don't know what to tell you... [:I]

I hadn't carried on over any saved games on any of my reinstalls. I prefer to play from the beginning as it helps me to remember the controls for the harder levels. I have no idea if any of the files were corrupted from using patchs on cover discs before but this time I just reinstalled the game and the expansion pack then connected to BattleNet to update. Maybe the curse of free covermounts strikes again.....

I have played and finished all the warcraft and had no problem with running frozen throne try re-installing it.
