Based on a true story. Set during the famous airdrop before the invasion at Normandy, Sgt. Matt Baker and his squad of 101st Airborne paratroopers were scattered over the French countryside. As the story unfolds, the player (Baker) must choose between the success of his mission and the lives of his men - his brothers in arms. Brothers in Arms will immerse players in the historic eight-day invasion of Normandy - with unparalleled imagery, authenticity, sound and gameplay.

Lionman10 Jan, 2009 22:36I am devided aboutn this one but I should admit that I have zero interest in "god-view" stragey games as for me that destroys the immersion instantly and feels like playing with models. On the other hand one has to admit that the ability to switch between FPS immersion and a strategic tactical command view and control is unique and very innovative. It is also true that they researched the actual characters and locations to an extraordinary degree. But I personally found the game play clunky and non-intuitive and lost patience, never completing the single player game.On the positive side this sim is unique in that the AI avatrs haver ameasure of autonomy in their reactgions to one at close quarters which is very good. Maybe the real soldiers opf the 82 airborne were extremely young but the avatars are too baby faced and girly for my taste. Not my cup of tea.
