Remote Downloads

A new feature that is delivered with V3 is "Remote Download". Now you can setup your entire home PCs with GameShadow and activate the remote download feature. Once configured remote download offers the super cool facility for you to instruct your PC(s) at home to download demos, videos, patches and any other file you want from anywhere else in the World, to any of your PCs. It’s Brill!

How to setup:

  1. Open Settings by right-clicking GameShadow in your system tray.
  2. Click on the Advanced tab.
  3. Liven up the remote download feature for this PC.
  • You can now instruct your home PC to download any file you want remotely.
  • Simply select the file you want.
  • Hit the Download button... and choose the PC you want to download the file.
  • You can check the download is queued
  • ...and relax in the knowledge that your PC at home is downloading the file ready for your return...

The Advanced Search allows you to tell GameShadow where to look for your games if it didn't find them using the default search.

How to setup:

  1. Open Settings by right-clicking GameShadow in your system tray.
  2. Click on the Advanced tab.
  3. Select Custom Search and browse to the folder/folders your want to search in.
  4. Then click the Search button.
  • After searching, GameShadow will check the server for any updates and build your games page.
